Good morning!

One of my favourite apparition stories of Our lady is that of la Salette in France!

I never knew too much about it but at the start of my conversion I found myself spending 3 months with some french benedictines and in the garden was a strange statue of Our Lady crying!

The statue is a representation of how Our Lady appeared at la Salette!

Here is part of what she said

There are none who go to Mass except a few aged women. The rest work on Sunday all summer; then in the winter, when they know not what to do, they go to Mass only to mock at religion. During Lent, they go to the meat-market like dogs. Have you never seen wheat that is spoilt, my children?

And although over 150 years later we could say that very little has changed as our churches are often more like nursing homes for the old, the bored and the retired!

Our Lady went onto talk about the disasters that would come such as famines if her message was not heeded and people didn’t pray and respect Sunday as a day for God.

Indeed it has a lot of similarities to what she has reportedly said to the visionaries in Medjugorje!

At the apparotion Our Lady then stood up and there was a very striking cross around her neck.

With a hammer on the right and a pliers on the left it’s a sign of our free will!

We can either pray and convert and return to God and remove so to speak the nails from Jesus’ hands or we can ignore God, ignore prayer and drive nails further into His body!

“Six days I have given you to labor, the seventh I had kept for myself; and they will not give it to me.” It is this which makes the arm of my Son so heavy. Those who drive the carts cannot swear without introducing the name of my Son. These are the two things which makes the arm of my Son so heavy.”

At times I wonder how much worse things seem now and what terrible consequences are to come as prayer and conversion of hearts are the last things on most people’s priorities and even many catholics laugh and scoff at messages such as these!

So all we can do is to continue to pray and as best we can be like the pliers taking nails out of Jesus’ body rather than hammering more in Him.

Of course some will call us fanatics and laugh at us and so we must remain close to Our Lady and offer her these trials as atonement for the hardened hearts of the indifferent!

Our Lady, guide us today to be instruments of healing to the mystical body of Jesus your son, crucified in today’s world by evil and sin!
