“Hail fucking Mary” a lady sneered today as she heard us talking about Jesus and Mary over lunch where a friend had just coincidentally given Rayne and I a gift of a saint Michael statue.

The same lady continued to abuse us saying that Jesus wasn’t real, that we should read the real bible before storming off after I gave her a little piece of my mind. She was definitely possessed by some sort of a demon and wasn’t making any effort to fight it!

And yet it was fun! It’s fun at times to witness how much Satan hates Our Lady and how serious and real the spiritual world actually is!

I could tell you of countless times when glasses smashed all around me in pubs and restaurants as I spoke about Jesus. The demons will try anything to distract Holy conversations especially if they threaten them.

Fortunately over the years God has instilled in me an utter indifference when it comes to demons or their power and it’s safe to say that at this stage I have no fear at all of them. I trust that Jesus  and Mary are with me and are so much more powerful that for me to fear would be a lack of trust in God’s power.

‘Empty vessels make most noise” and this is certainly the case with demons. They like to disrupt, they like to cause mayhem and they like to distract people and conversations from holiness or charity.

Usually they make friends with people with big egos, big mouths and big personalities and together they try to dominate others and steer people away from Jesus, away from prayer and onto “alternatives”.

Satan fights for each soul the same as if He owned them and he hates losing a grip. If souls were like money then Satan would be like Scrooge, always hungry and greedy for more and reluctant to give away any!

Fortunately we do not belong to Him as Jesus saved us but he still fights tooth and nail to hold people back from accepting Jesus.

When he attacks us like he did today whether through others or otherwise, it’s a great sign that we are doing something very good for Jesus and like a spoilt child he’s throwing a tantrum.

He’d like us to feel afraid and to give up or at least tone down our love for Jesus and yet Jesus calls us to holding our ground, staying strong and trampling on Him because we have Jesus with us.

We need a lot of Holy Boldness for this as in our human frailty we might be tempted to back down or to run away and yet the Holy Spirit will strengthen us and He’ll train us how to fight and how to handle these attacks.

And so today whatever you are doing for Jesus, have no fear! Yes Satan will rise up and use others to try to cause trouble but be patient and trust and you will expose his lies, cut his head off and gain even more ground for Jesus!

Who is there to help you but Our Lady, the name he can’t stand. “Hail fucking Mary” He might shout but Our Lady will soon remind him where he belongs and who he is.

So praise be Jesus and may the ways and lies of Satan be exposed so that more and more souls my find their way back to God and to prayer.

Blessings,

Michael
